Positivity is powerful stuff. I always thought I was a pretty positive person… until I completed my NLP Practitioner certification back in 2011. What an eye opener! Little did I know that, even though I thought I was being positive I was still being negative a lot of the time. I would set ‘away from’ goals rather than ‘towards’ goals. I would think and talk about what I didn’t want to happen and I hadn’t even heard of writing daily ‘gratitudes’.
Don’t get me wrong, I had a positive disposition and most people would’ve said I was a happy kinda gal but it’s not until you become conscious of your words and actions that you see how much negativity slips in without you even realising it. Because most other people are the same it’s easy to miss it.
Words have power. The words you speak become the thoughts you think and when you consciously become more positive your life can change for the better.
